Cuy is the name for guinea pigs here. I admit that I have eaten two of them. But I feel a little sorry about it when I see them in their little apartments. (This one was a highrise, but the photo doesn´t capture the many levels of balconies...)

Yes. Pretty much.
They have less meat and more tiny bones, and it feels like a lot of work to eat them. (More work still because they have their little faces in a screaming expression, and with claws extended...)

Hmmm... because I always thought it was very important to dress up your food before you eat it! Luis says that they eat them in Equador too - not sure if they dress them up first though! ;-)
